David Noyes helped start Kunde Estate Winery in 1989 and started his own label in 2001. In 2006 he left Kunde to devote himself entirely to his eponymous label. David Noyes Wines consists of David, his wife Grace, and their son Brian. They produce small lots of Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Tocai Friulano from selected Sonoma County vineyards located in the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Sonoma Valleys. Brian will be pouring their Tocai Friulano, a Sonoma Coast and a Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir, as well as a Dry Creek Zinfandel! Their Tocai Friulano is one of my absolute favorites. It's light and refreshing on a hot summer day!
Cantiga is a small, family-operated winery based in our own Sierra Foothills. They like to make sure that their wines have had plenty of aging time, so they don't release any wine before it has been in the bottle at least 5 years! They craft interesting and food-friendly wines. Cantiga produces non-malolatic wines, which gives them crisper acidity and a fruit-forward character. Rich will be pouring his Oakless Chardonnay, Oaked Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wines are exceptionally good and very affordable!
